This policy applies to products bought and services carried out at MT Phone Fix, 232 Washington Ave, Albany, NY 12210. New York law requires stores to post their refund policy; this page and the sign at our counter say the same thing.
Returns on products
- Accessories (cases, chargers, cables, earbuds, power banks and similar): return within 14 days of purchase with your receipt, unused and in the original packaging, for a refund to your original payment method or an exchange.
- Phones: return within 14 days of purchase with your receipt, in the same condition you bought it, with all accessories and packaging, and with your accounts signed out and passcodes removed.
- Screen protectors can be returned unopened. Once a screen protector has been applied it can’t be returned unless it is faulty.
- Items damaged after purchase (drops, cracks, liquid) can’t be returned.
Warranty on phones we sell
Refurbished and pre-owned phones come with a 90-day warranty from the date of purchase. If the phone develops a fault that isn’t caused by damage or misuse, we’ll fix it, replace it with an equivalent phone, or refund you. New phones are also covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
The warranty doesn’t cover drops, cracked screens, liquid damage, loss, theft, or problems caused by software you install.
Warranty on service work
Service work comes with a written 90-day warranty on the parts we fit and our labour. If the same problem comes back within that time, bring the device and your receipt and we’ll put it right at no charge. The warranty doesn’t cover new damage, liquid damage, or parts we didn’t replace.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method. Card refunds can take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank.
Your legal rights
This policy doesn’t affect any rights you have under New York or US law.
